The Blogger Blahs.....

I don't know what it is. But, I have no desire to enter the blogging world lately. I don't know if it's the weather, the kids' busy schedules, or what? I have stuff to blog about, just no desire to. I almost just want to quit blogging completely.... ugh! I don't know, maybe I will get out of this rutt, we'll see.........

Fried Ice Cream

6 C. Corn flakes
3 C. Wheaties
1 C. pecans, chopped
1 C. unsalted butter
1 1/2 C. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream

Mix Corn flakes, Wheaties and pecans in a large bowl, breaking the cereal
into smaller pieces.

(i put the mix in a large baggie and crushed them with a rolling pin, put back in bowl)

In a large saucepan, bring butter, brown sugar
and cinnamon to a boil. Remove from heat and stir into cereal mixture.
Spray nonstick cooking spray in a 9x13 pan.
Add half of the cereal mixture to the pan,
patting down cereal to form a crust.
(i like to use a sheet of wax paper and press with my hand)

Slice vanilla ice cream about 1 inch thick,
and place over crust.

Top with remaining cereal mixture and freeze until firm.
Serve with whipped topping, honey, chocolate sauce or just as it is!!

My little helper!

SOOOO GOOD AND SOOOO EASY!

Easter Picture Post

Easter Egg Hunt at Creekside Park!

Egg Dying at Grandma Deb's

Visiting the Easter Bunny!!

We watched the Bunny parade around the square....FROM THE VAN!!
Bowen just couldn't take it, he wanted the play on the park equipment, but the
equipment his size was marked off for the egg hunt.
He threw a COMPLETE fit, so we BAILED!!
The older two were completely fine with that, cause as we were sitting
in the van looking at the GINORMOUS line of kids
campaired to the amount of eggs laid out in the park.....it
really wasn't worth the wait, besides they
had already been to one!!
So, we decided to go to another playground instead!
They got so EXCITED when they realized which one we were going to
the one in Little Amana!!

(Bowen and I hung out in the van, he was gettin' sleepy.)

Notice the puddle of water under them....Ayden just couldn't
seem to keep his feet out of it!!!!!!

Easter Morning
Bowen ditched his basket and went straight for the chocolate!!

Olivia was the only one who posed for me.

Learning how to do "witches ladder" from Aunt Dee.

Playin' Ball

My kids look up to their OLDER cousins, they think they are AWSOME!
They love it when any of them play ball with them!

Bowen: "Wait up! What about ME?!"

Chillin'
Bowen chillin' with Kaylee and Cole!
These kids are soooo good with the little ones! :)

Blog to Book, Anyone?

This image is from The Cutest Blog on the Block.
Has anyone out there done this?
Just curious, cause I am thinking about doing it.
You can select which post you want to add.
I kind of want a book with post that
I have done that are about the kids.
I have made print outs of my blog to put in
a 3-ring binder, but I think
I am liking this idea?!

What's the secret....

.....to getting your cake to bake evenly?
OBVIOUSLY....I don't know!!!
Looks pretty sad doesn't it?!
I love to bake and usually everything turns out, but, with
cakes....not so much!
They always taste good though!
But, with the help of whipped frosting (love it, and I'm really not
a frosting fan), and my mad decorating skillz (ha!),
I can at least make it look good!
(or so I think)

Some colored frosting piped through some baggies in the
form of SqUigGlEs
makes a cute lookin' cake!

Ayden's Kindergarten Round Up

Ayden had his Kindergarten Round-Up yesterday!! He was so excited!!
The kids broke up into groups, and he was SO happy when he got to go
in Mrs. Murpy's group! She was Olivia's teacher last year, and Ayden really
likes her. She said he blasted past 100 in counting(which doesn't surprise me at all), and then
he was helping the other kids when they would get stuck on a number!....so sweet!
I did shed a little tear when the kids all left the parents to go into groups....it
doesn't get any easier after the first!!
You'd think it would....BUT, IT DOESN'T!!

Fun City!! WARNING: picture packed post!!

FINALLY.....WE'RE OFF!!
It was a VERY long day for the kids waiting for dad to get home!!
Luckily, the drive there only
takes an hour and a half!

They were all set to go with their basket of stuff to keep them busy!

We got maybe 2 miles and Ayden already had a movie going!
Look at Olivia's eyes....someone looks tired!

This was taken about 20 miles away from home....apparently they
were both tired!!

Bowen played monster truck vs. elephant for most of the trip...he did sleep a little.

We get there, and first up......
SWIMMING

Some Relaxing and Watching Cartoons!

Eating at Boogaloo's

Waitin' for his fries!!!

Go-Karts!!!

The loyal fans!

Snack Time at the Diner!

At one point I thought Ayden's chip was going to go FLYING across the arcade room!

Olivia was being very nice and didn't mind sharing.....BUT, DON'T

EVEN THINK ABOUT DOUBLE-DIPPING!!!

He tried....but, she stopped it!!

She's got some QUICK REFLEXES, let me tell ya!! :)

Bowling

Quite the form they both have! ;)

Patiently watching.....well, at this moment.

Some Arcading!

Ha! He didn't even care that it wasn't really on!

Just Bowen's size, and the car shook and rocked...he loved it!

This is the last 20min of the stay....trying to use up our
game cards!!

Gotta love skeeball!!!!!!!!!!!
