~Olivia's Desk Project~

So, I was in search for the perfect desk for Olivia's room, I had been looking at garage sales, auctions and Stuff. I finally found one at Stuff that I liked...and so did she!! It is misssing a knob, but I want to change those anyway, plus it was a good price! It was only $45!!

I sanded it that night, I am very excited to get this done!

I also found this shelf. I almost didn't get it because it is VERY heavy!! I wasn't sure I wanted to hang something that heavy on my walls! But, it was only $6.75, and thought if I don't use it I am not out that much!!
THEN!!!!!

I had this GREAT idea....turn it upside down and cut the little knobby things off on the top!!

I have ideas of adding corkboard to the middle top section, and maybe putting some other fun backings in some of the other squares!!

But, I think she will have fun putting some of her little knick-knacks in there!!

The whole thing will be painted white and I will get her some fun new drawer pulls!!

I WISH IT WAS DONE!

Team Penning

This is Josh's 2nd Penning of the year. I remember when we first met he use to go EVERY weekend somewhere...not anymore!!

Framing Project

So, it wasn't much of a "project", since it only took about 5 minutes to do both, but anywho, it still looks really cute!!

Yes, I went to Hobby Lobby today! They had AWSOME sales!!
I love these two little frames, I haven't put any pictures in them yet, but they are way CUTE!


I would like to put a picture of Ayden in his cowboy gear in this blue frame, but this looks cute too!

The Kids' Canvas Art

On Olivia's we may make a decoration on it using sparkly beads. Or we may just leave it the way it is!! We'll have to see what I bring home from my next adventure to Hobby Lobby...love that store!

4th of July

On Friday we went to Marengo, they always celebrate on the third, but this year was their 150th, so they had a lot of things going on!!

Here the kids are having balloon figures made!

Olivia got a dinosaur hat and Ayden got a flower. So proud!

They had a bunch of inflatables, this one was one of their favorites, it was an obstacle course! He looks so little up there!!

Then we went and watched the parade. This was one of their favorites, the Kinze truck with the wagon!!

The next day we skipped going to the Coralville parade that we usually like to go see. It was raining and we weren't going to go sit in the rain!! Instead we slept in...aaaahhh....that was nice!!
We went to lunch at Travis and Suzy's house.

The rain let up, so we went to the Oxford parade!
